Display - Belle Fleur Florist

This Display is from my cousins Florist in South Cave. She asked for my help in making her 'Mothers Day' display.
We  got together and discussed ideas and the feel we wanted to put across. We decided on a farmhouse/shabby chic feel. This included distressed furniture, hanging fabric hearts and pastel shades.
I think it gives a real homely, girly feel and really attracts the attention of the public.

An Ounce Of Prevention Is Worth a Pound Of Cure

The world often voice their concerns about the population growth and the ever expanding increase of industrial activity.

Concern over supplies of fossil fuels and energy prices increase more everyday.

Today, people are thinking of innovations to protect the environment and use less energy in their buildings.

But the one area where we can begin to consider the environment  is in the process of construction and architecture.

Red Arrows Show

An amazing air display from the Red Arrows at RAF Leeming. It was hard to take your eyes off this breathtaking display of graceful near misses, dips and dives. All photos I took and edited my self.

Snapshot Illustration from the book I made

An illustration from a book I created for a childminder. This book is all about one owl and how he finds friends. I like the child like effect I used within the book, as if the drawing and colours used where selected by a child. I wanted to capture and interest my audience, that's why I produced it in this way.

Sketch Book Cover Competition Entry

This is my competition entry for the company 'Pink Pig'. I was asked to produce a cover for a sketch book that is commercial to be used by any one, but also that will appeal to any one. I took inspiration from the original logo. I wanted to make it sketchy with a hand drawn feel. The colours used are of a pastle pallet that suit the logo also.

Tiger Print Competition Entries

Tiger Print Lovely Days Competition

I've had a go at creating three 'love' based prints for the Tiger Print Company.

Love Sweet Love
I have used bright colours that overlap which I think creates a unique effect. The use of bright colours make me feel cheery, as love does.

Lots Of Hearts
This design was a real trial and error one that turned out quite well. I started off with one single heart. I then turned this into a row, then changed the colours and opacity. I was then left with this completed design. I finished it off by adding one single white heart to contrast against all the colour.

Flower Hearts
These flowers petals are created from three hearts layered on top of each other. I then duplicated this one layer a further three times and placed them around each other to create a flower shape. I then added green stems and placed lots of flowers around the page.
